Friends, this is an especially critical time when the health, rights, & equality of women—including Native American Women—are facing unprecedented threats. So we are dedicating our July SALE to raise funds to benefit Native American Women’s Health NON-profit organizations! New sale items with great prices are online now & more will be added during the week.

We pledge to donate 100% of our profits—Yes, ALL profits—to one or more of those charities! You can trust our pledge. As we’ve done before, we will post PROOF of our donations after the sale.

With our July Sale Charity Fund Raiser, you’ll be getting top quality Native American art at bargain prices, with a written Authenticity Guarantee and FREE shipping & insurance. Why bargain prices? We hope it not only encourages you to buy during our sale so we have more $$ to donate, but also encourages you to donate directly. So we respectfully challenge YOU: please use your great savings from our sale to generously donate to worthy Native American Women’s health charities!

Then when you wear your awesome, GUARANTEED authentic Native American jewelry—or each day view one of our beautiful Diné weavings in your home—you will have the added JOY of having supported the “FIRST AMERICANS” to whom we owe so much!

After all, Native Americans were ’first’ in virtually everything in “America”: explorers; botanists; herbalists; architects; home builders; haute clothing & shoe designers; weavers; inventors; chefs; organic gardeners/farmers; naturalists; astronomers; artists; musicians; dancers; wildlife biologists; sustainability experts; teachers; backpackers/hikers; sailors; wilderness & wild river protectors; MOTHER EARTH & CLIMATE PROTECTORS; & of course, the continent’s first CIVILIZED PEOPLE.

Here are the Native American Women’s Health non-profits we suggest you consider::

100% of our May Profits DONATED to Pueblo & Navajo Covid Relief

Friends, THANK YOU for making our May 2020 “Navajo & Pueblo Covid Relief Sale” a SUCCESS. In early May, we announced that our online gallery, SWNativeOriginals.com was launching a “Navajo & Pueblo Covid Relief Sale”.  We promised we would donate 100% of our May sale profits to Navajo & Pueblo Covid relief groups.

We are happy to report that your support made our sale a success!  During May, we made $2001 in sales of our authentic Navajo and Pueblo arts.  Of that amount, our gross profits [before deduction of expenses] came to $938.  We just completed making the following donations of that entire amount:

·      $309 donated to the Pueblo Relief Fund

·      $638 donated to the Navajo Water Project to provide potable water for 12 months for Navajo families that lack their own potable water supply. [FYI: below are copies of the donation receipts.]

Friends please help further by joining us in making donations to help Navajo and Pueblo Native Americans fight the Covid-19 Pandemic that is ravaging them.  Following are the links to nonprofits we recommend. Please post these links on your own social media accounts to urge your friends to also donate.

Our Jewelry & Art Gifts Are Well Protected from Covid-19

GIFTS with EXTENSIVE PROTECTION from COVID Exposures

None of us want to purchase a gift for our loved ones if there’s a risk it’s contaminated with Covid19 viruses!  Harriet & I have gone ‘all out’ to protect US, our guaranteed authentic Native American jewelry & art, and YOU from Covid exposures. HERE’S WHAT & HOW we’ve done that.  [ Ask yourself: have other sellers taken similar precautions? ]

·      No ‘employee’ has been exposed to Covid-19 or been infected with it! We’re a family owned, home-based business with 2 ‘employees’ [ha,ha]—Terry and Harriet!  We have NOT been exposed to or infected by Covid.  That’s because over the years we became expert practitioners of avoidance of virus exposures during each year’s flu season.  This was necessary due to Terry’s impaired immune and respiratory systems—acquiring a virus would be life-threatening to him. [BTW: don’t worry—he does NOT have any infectious conditions; rather, his immune and respiratory systems were impaired by occupational toxic exposures years ago.]  ‘Social-distancing’, disinfecting products and surfaces while wearing PPE including disposable nitrile gloves and OSHA/NIOSH certified N95 & P100 filter masks, HEPA air filtration—ALL are ‘old hat’ in our lives.  During annual virus seasons we have a strict ‘home-isolation’ policy—no visitors are allowed inside any part of our house so they don’t ‘shed’ viruses inside our home airspaces.  So when Covid19 arrived in December, we were already practicing extensive virus-avoidance procedures before any state or federal government Covid19 policies or CDC guidance!

·      In fact, our virus-avoidance practices exceed the CDC/Trump Covid Task Force guidance.  That’s because we’ve always educated ourselves on virus transmission medical research studies and National Academy of Sciences et al studies! We KNOW the FACTS on virus viability on surfaces, proper PPE, & anti-virus practices.

·      ALL of our contemporary jewelry and art inventory was acquired in 2019—prior to the Covid outbreak— from the artists or their preferred wholesaler .  So there was NO risk that inventory had infectious viruses when we obtained it in 2019. Since then, we have NOT purchased new inventory to AVOID RISK of virus contamination/exposure from new inventory. ALL of our antique Native American art items [jewelry, pottery, Navajo weaving] were acquired prior to 2019, and has remained in our Covid-protected home spaces.

·      After the December Covid-19 outbreak was reported, we implemented a rigorous disinfection process for ALL items delivered to our home. Our disinfection process is based on relevant scientific research studies of effective disinfectants for viruses.  Viruses can remain viable and infectious from hours to days on various surfaces. So we recognized the possibility of Covid-19 transmission via mail and other delivered items including groceries.  No delivered item has been brought into any part of our home without first being safely disinfected outside the home. That ongoing disinfection process has minimized the chance of virus exposure/contamination of us or our home spaces from mail or other delivered items that may have been processed or handled by infected people. [Research tells us a person can be non-symptomatic and infectious from 5-14 days before they even have symptoms; some don’t even know they have the virus.]

·      NONE of our contemporary jewelry or Yei art has been pre-owned so you don’t need to worry that it was handled or worn by a Covid-infected person prior to your purchase.  Our antique Native American items were all acquired prior to Covid and have NOT been outside our Covid-safe home because we sell those items with the same policy of NO returns and no exchanges to prevent contamination of the items with chemicals, smoke, tobacco, fragrance or viruses.

·      YOU are the 1st & only owner of contemporary jewelry and art you buy from us.  Before Covid, to protect YOUR health, we had a NO Returns/no exchanges policy for both our antique and contemporary Native American jewelry & art.   So NONE of our inventory has been outside of our Covid-protected home. Obviously, our antique Native American art items were pre-owned, but we acquired them prior to 2019 and prior to Covid.   [See our website ‘no return’ policy].

·      Our Native American art inventory is stored and packed for shipment in our home spaces fully protected from Covid contamination.  They are stored and packed only by us entirely in our home spaces, which have been protected from Covid19 infection by the processes summarized above.

·      Our art packing materials are virus-free, mold-free, fragrance-free, chemical-free while in our home.  ALL our packaging materials are USA-made, were purchased well before the Covid-19 outbreak in China, and have remained in our protected storage area inside our home.   Our home is maintained mold-free, fragrance-free and chemical-free to protect Terry’s health. We usually provide free cotton jewelry bags with each purchase. Those are made in Pakistan, but we acquired them in 2019 prior to the Covid outbreak, so they also have been protected from Covid exposure while stored in our Covid-free home.

You can see we have taken more protective measures than any state or federal government agency recommended.  We do that so we, you and your loved ones can thoroughly enjoy our beautiful, guaranteed-authentic Native American arts without worry of whether it was Covid-contaminated in our possession.

Could our FREE Priority Mail delivery process expose you to Covid virus? Possibly, but NO more than any other mail or packages delivered to you! As noted above, research tells us that viruses can remain viable on various surfaces including paper products from hours to days depending on various factors. So we all face the possibility of being exposed to viruses on the exterior surfaces of mail or ship boxes IF processed or delivered by a Covid-infected person or delivery vehicle.  If that possibility concerns you, we urge you to use disinfection procedures similar to what we use, and disinfect the entire exterior surfaces of the Priority Mail box before you bring the contents into your living spaces and open the box.  For mail and products delivered to our home, we also disinfect box contents in case they were processed by an infected person. However, in the case of purchasing from us, you now know that the art & packing materials inside the box have been extensively protected from Covid exposure as explained above.  IF you don’t have your own delivery disinfection process and would like more information on our disinfection process for mail and packages delivered to us, or have other questions, please contact us! We want you to be as worry-free as possible, so you can enjoy this awesome Native American art.

COVID-RELIEF SALE: 100% of Profits donated to NAVAJO & PUEBLO PEOPLES.

100% of Sale PROFITs will be donated

Friends, our hearts and best wishes go to all who have suffered loss of loved ones, or loss of health, jobs, income, livelihood, homes, and tranquility.  We celebrate your courage, resilience, understanding, and dedication to helping others less fortunate who lack the resources necessary to emerge from this tragic, stressful Pandemic without it destroying their livelihood, way of life, or life itself.

The Navajo Nation and the Pueblo Peoples have long suffered very high rates of poverty & chronic illness, and deficient healthcare services.  Now the Covid-19 Pandemic has hard-hit Native American communities: high rates of infections and deaths, seriously deficient access to PPE and medical care, loss of jobs and income, scarcity of food and drinking water, and barriers to ‘student remote education’.  CDC: the Navajo Nation has the highest infection rate after NY & NJ! The many Navajo and Pueblo families reliant on sale of their beautiful artworks face major loss of income as the result of closures of art shows, galleries, retail outlets, etc.

Harriet and I admire, respect and treasure the culture and awe-inspiring art of ‘First Americans’.  We already made personal donations for their Covid-Relief funds.  Now we are offering a COVID-RELIEF SALE for the month of May & will donate 100% of sale PROFITS to Navajo and Pueblo communities in need. YES—100% of profits!  Prices are deep discounted on most of our inventory and we’re offering FREE PRIORITY MAIL SHIP.  Covid-19 has imposed major financial stress on most of us. But if you have the financial resources, our Covid-Relief Sale offers a very good deal on top quality gift items, and by us donating ALL the profits you generously help Navajo and Pueblo peoples in need!

You should be wondering:  “If I purchase online during this Pandemic will it increase my exposures to Covid-19?”  Important question!  None of us want to purchase a gift if there’s a risk it’s contaminated with Covid19 viruses!    We are pleased to report: WE, OUR INVENTORY, & OUR PACKING MATERIALS HAVE BEEN WELL PROTECTED FROM COVID-19! So you can gift your loved ones with our beautiful, guaranteed authentic Native American jewelry and other art with little worry of exposure to Covid19 illness.   For a detailed explanation, see our companion blog, “Our Jewelry & Art Gifts Are Well Protected from Covid-19.”  It lays out all the detailed steps we took to protect us, the art items, & YOU. The Priority Mail delivery may pose an exposure, but that can be managed if you use anti-virus procedures like we routinely use to disinfect ALL mail & other deliveries to us to prevent the possibility of an infected person or facility having contaminated mail or other deliveries during processing and delivery.

THANK YOU for considering our Covid-Relief Sale!  HAVE A FUN TIME EXPLORING OUR GREAT SALE ITEMS & KNOWING THAT 100% OF PROFITS WILL BE DONATED TO COVID-RELIEF FOR NAVAJO & PUEBLO PEOPLES.  For full disclosure, we will share with you what that 100% profit donation amount was, along with proof of our donations of the full profits. We take ethics and responsibility seriously.

GRATITUDE & ADMIRATION for ALL "MOTHERS"

Wishing ALL mothers good health and joy in life during these especially stressful times!  Our wishes extend to ALL “mothers” defined in the broadest terms: not only women who birth our children, but all women who through their words, actions & lives ‘teach’ us to live our lives with compassion, honesty, and dedication to equality and justice for ALL.  Words fail to adequately express our love, admiration and gratitude for such precious “mothers.”

We can think of no more meaningful ‘gift’ to honor ALL our mothers than to dedicate ourselves to protecting MOTHER EARTH, who has given us life for millennia, but whose future—and the future of our children—is now threatened by fossil fuel economies.

On this “Mother’s Day” please join us in activism to protect all future mothers by protecting Mother Earth.  Join & donate to two of the best climate citizen action nonprofit groups [donations tax-deductible]:

350.org has been at the forefront of organizing effective citizen action lobbying campaigns, including providing support for the youth-led GlobalClimateStrike.net.

OurChildrensTrust.org  This unique nonprofit supports young people’s lawsuits aimed at forcing state and federal government to take effective action NOW to prevent irreversible climate change disasters that science experts predict will begin by 2030 in the absence of fast government action.

With admiration, respect and gratitude, Terry & Harriet
