Date: c. 1885-1890
Size: 3’ 10” x 4’ 6”. As shown in the photos, the blanket width gives the blanket a slight ‘hourglass’ shape:  55” wide at the top edge of the blanket as worn; 53” wide in the upper middle ; & 54” wide at the bottom edge as worn.  Blanket height is 46”.
The wider 55” portion of the blanket could have resulted from that portion of the blanket having been worn around the shoulders, which over time, would have stretched that portion of the blanket wider than the bottom edge.  Or:  the weaver intentionally wove the upper portion of the blanket wider to provide more room for wrapping that portion around shoulders—the widest body area.
