Description. Navajo ‘double’ saddle blanket hand-woven c. 1890-1910; approximately 30” wide and 46.5” long. The blanket is composed of hand-spun Navajo wool in a banded design with natural white and variegated grey bands alternating with stepped half-diamonds in natural white wool, outlined in natural black wool over-dyed with synthetic black dye by the weaver.
Condition: Professionally cleaned. NO fading on either side; NO moth damage; NO odors of tobacco, chemicals, fragrances. Condition as shown in photos. We are: non-smokers! We do NOT use chemical moth repellants of any type. Our house is MOLD-free, fragrance-free, chemical-free, Covid-free, & filled with gratitude & JOY. You have to look very closely to see the design is a tiny bit lop-sided—so minor it is NOT a distraction.
